There is pilling arond the wrist cuffs, but that does not affect the prformance of the jacket. I used this is a midlayer skiiing. It was so warm and cozy under a shell. 

Not only is the Women’s Patagonia R3 Hoody soft and snuggly, it packs on the heat with Polartec High Loft fleece. This full-zip hoody has an attached, low-profile hood, and elastic binding at the cuffs, hem, hood, and pockets to seal out cold temperatures on the trail, slopes, or on the wall.
