You can ditch that second baselayer with these pants which pack a non-bulky Spaceloft micropuff insulation into a straight leg style for a piece that will get you through the coldest days on the mountain. They feature a waterproof-breathable 2-L hardshell outer that is treated with a Durable Water Repellent to shield you from snow, water, and ice. Powder cuffs prevent snow from entering your boots and the cuffs are reinforced to prevent shredding on your edges or crampons. If you manage to warm up every once in a while, there are inner thigh vents to give you a refreshing blast of air.
