First the Sierra Des tent is lighter Maybe lighter than 2.5 pound plenty of room in font to change clothing and cook\very wind resitant The Dana Design tent is well under 3 pounds (bigger inside than the SD tent) but it will only handle wind loads (maybe 30 mph) I bought it for camping with a light motorcycle Anything else
