Product Information

If you're a hard charging directional freerider, there's a good chance the Mantra has been on your radar for a while now. But if not, it's time for some introductions. The Volkl M5 Mantra Skis have the soul of an old school ripper with a traditional shape, a stout titanal frame that offers fall line shredding dampness and rigidity, and a versatile 96 mm underfoot width. It's the go-to ski for advanced riders looking for a daily driver to crush technical terrain in between storms.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Tip & Tail Rocker – Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.

Core

Multilayer Woodcore – The combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood surrounding it.

Laminates

Titanal Frame – Assures the most efficient and lively all-mountain freeride performance. By shaping the top layer of metal in just the right way, Völkl engineers created a lighter weight design that maintains stability and adds liveliness and energy.

Carbon Tips – Tip material layup for high reliability/stability at the lightest possible weight.

Sidewalls

Full Sidewall – Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls.

Base

P-Tex 2100 – A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Questions

Question

do you have year 2019 M5?

Answer

I do not, unfortunately. Just the 20202021

Question

I’m 6’2 , 200lbs., advanced skier and I’m wondering if you would recommend 191 or 184 length?

Answer

You could honestly ski either. The 184 would give you more control and a tighter turn radius whereas the 191 would be faster and more versatile in mixed snow but honestly, this ski is pretty stiff that the 191 might be too fast on anything other than a wide-open trail
