De Marchi's new WP (World Pack) collection brings the cut, materials, and proven design of its PT jersey, along with a clean graphic treatment and short-zip styling that pays homage to the classic European national jerseys of yesteryear.
For the construction of this jersey, De Marchi used its Dry3 Micro fabric for its airy composition and low weight. This material breathes better than most nylon/Lycra blends, and it rapidly transfers moisture away from your skin to its quick-drying outer layer. Combined with these lightweight and thermo-regulating properties, Dry3 Micro also stretches in order to wrap and support your upper body and arm muscles while in the cycling position. By selecting a single fabric for the jersey's entirety, De Marchi was able to create panels that smoothly transition from one to another without any disturbance. This means that the jersey's seams all but disappear, which leads to better aerodynamics than other jerseys relying on several mixed fabric panels.
De Marchi focused equally on implementing lightweight technical fabrics into the WP as it did refining the jersey's fit. The goal of the WP was to create a streamlined jersey with both maximum freedom of movement and the most breathable, lightweight materials available. This anatomical fit was made possible using the company's Contour Technology as a means to stabilize the jersey while in the cycling position. This is accomplished using pre-shaped fabric panels that closely follow the body while in motion. When sewn together, these panels form somewhat of a three dimensional shape on their own, mimicking the body before even reaching your shoulders. The result is a jersey that eliminates all unnecessary material, leading to the best fit possible. Equally valued by De Marchi are its finishing details. The WP is no exception, with its short front zipper, three rear-panel pockets, and tasteful visibility reflective elements throughout.
The De Marchi WP Euro National Short Sleeve Jersey is available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Norway, Spain, and Sweden.
