Expedition Packs (5000+ cu in) Product Information

Packing for a long hike on the Colorado Trail? Disappearing into the Alaskan bush? Or maybe you're just the person who always ends up with more than their share of the gear. If so, the Cirrus Access is your pack.

This is a crazy-comfortable pack that will carry monster loads with ease. Not just because of its gear-gobbling capacity—this packs is made to carry heavy loads comfortably. Featuring a carbon fiber, Tepex ®, 3-D framesheet, the most rigid framesheets Granite Gear made at that time. What does this mean on the trail? The weight of your load gets efficiently transferred to your hips—not your shoulders—for the most comfortable carry possible. The top of the pack easily removes to serve as a fanny pack. The top lid pocket sports an internal mesh organizer pocket.

Favorite feature: "Open-belly" access makes effecient packing a dream, and easy access to anything once I shuck the pack. No more digging-down and groping blindly from the top like other packs.

I'm selling this because my knees and ankles will no longer take heavy loads like this monster pack will carry. I've taken this pack on just five - 10+ day backcountry excursions. Minor cosmetic blemishes from the trail - no fabric rips or tears, all seams intact and still waterproof. Pack is in EXCELLENT condition and has been cleaned after every trip. Pack originally purchased for $420. Get an amazing 60% off original retail cost.

Carbon Fiber 3D Tepex Frame, Engineered for Zones of Flexibility
Tepex framsheet is engineered with zones of flexibility from top to bottom. They flex easily in the area from the lower spine up into the lumbar so when you cinch your belt this zone automatically fits to your lower spinal shape. Its amazing to feel this pack on under load. Most comfortable long-distance pack I've ever owned. The lumbar zone flexes laterally to accommodate your natural hip rotation. The mid back zone is semi rigid transferring weight evenly downward toward the belt. The upper zone and headroom pocket are rigid, allowing the load lifters to pull the whole load close to your back while guaranteeing enough head room. The Tepex frame always returns to its original shape.

Better Blood Flow and Oxygenation Through Your Back Muscles
Tepex frame distributes pressure more evenly over your back putting less pressure on individual areas, allowing for increased blood flow and oxygenation to your back muscles.

Natural Body Motion and Shape
The belt naturally rotates to follow and move with your hip motion. The soulder straps automatically cant to match your shoulder angle for even load distribution.

Cruise Control
A dynamically adjustable load stabilizing system that pulls in the load yet still allows the belt to pivot.

QUESTIONS

QUESTION: hi, does this have a rain cover included? Some packs have the cover integrated into the bottom surface of the pack. thx:)

ANSWER: It does not have a rainfly, the pack is remarkably water resistant as it is. Here in the arid ColoradoNew MexicoUtah wilderness where I go, I have seldom needed it. That said, I carried an Outdoor Research PackFly with me on all the trips, and only used it once. Just make sure you get one large enough to accomodate this rather tall pack
