These are brand new women's Roldal Gore-Tex shell pants by Norrona. Note that these are not the insulated version; they are just a waterproof shell. (Norrona makes both.)
They're size medium. I'm 5'8" and 135 pounds and these fit great in both length and the waist. The reason I've never used them is that when I bend my knees a lot they feel slightly restrictive at the top of my thigh. No reviews I've found of these pants or the insulated version mention this, so I'm assuming it's just me.
The color is bright - called "adrenaline" and your buddies are sure to be able to find you on the mountain wearing this color. It's more of a fluroescent coral than fluorescent orange though, if that makes sense - slightly softer.
It has outside thigh vents, two zippered pockets on each leg (4 total) - 1 cargo and 1 smaller one by your hip. There's a zipper-in extension for the waist, and belts to adjust the waist fit.
While I can't comment on the performance of these pants because I've never used them, I can attest to the fact that Norrona makes fantastic, high-quality gear and they stand behind it. If you haven't tried them yet, you won't be disappointed. I've had a Norrona snowboard jacket for almost 10 years, and it's still not ready for retirement (which sucks when you love buying gear! Haha. Norrona even mailed me a replacement zipper pull last winter when that finally failed. It took 2 minutes to replace it.) I bought a new Roldal Gore-Tex shell jacket (not insulated) partway through last winter and LOVED it. It was great for both spring skiing and with a layer or two on slightly colder days. Anyway, I digress. Here's the description of the pants from Norrona's website:
Performance and style for any conditions.
The Norrona Women's Roldal Gore-Tex Pant combines streetwear-inspired style with backcountry-worthy performance to keep you looking good and feeling even better no matter where you're skiing. Proven Gore-Tex technology meets urban looks for a pant you can wear whether you're riding lifts or reaching the peak of your own two feet.
Gore-Tex three-layer fabric protects you from wind and snow through the wettest and windiest snowstorms, yet is still breathable to allow moisture to escape when you're working up a sweat on a grueling hike. Zippered outseam vents help you rapidly cool down after a leg-burning run. The Zip-Seal system connects the Roldal to your Norrona jacket to create a snow-proof barrier on deep powder days, and boot gaiters keep snow out of your ski boots.
The relaxed fit allows room to wear a midlayer underneath, lets you move comfortably, and offers an urban-inspired look. The Custom-fit waist system lets you adjust the waist so your pants don't start slipping mid-way through a run. Multiple zippered pockets offer ample storage space, and reinforced hems keep your pant openings from getting shredded when you're walking through the parking lot after the lifts shut down.
