ANNOUNCING STORE CREDIT FOR GEARTRADE EARNINGS.

We’ve heard from a lot of you asking for a couple of things: first, if store credit could be an option for your Geartrade earnings, and second, if the payout process could be simplified in batches. And guess what—both are now possible!

Here’s how it will work moving forward: 

1. Sell your Outdoor Gear on Geartrade!


2. Your earnings will go into your Geartrade account when you make a sale.


3. Once you have earnings available in your account, you can Cashout at any time to your Venmo, PayPal, or Bank Account via ACH Direct Deposit, or use your earnings to shop the site with Store Credit.

This means it’s easy to decide when you want to cash out and get paid (and you can do it in large chunks or just transfer it over every time you sell something). Or, you can let the Store Credit pile up and buy something rad on the site with it!

Hopefully this all feels pretty simple. 

Here are the answers to a few common questions. 

 

• Yep, you can still get paid in cash rather than Store Credit. Payments get dropped into your Geartrade account automatically and from there you decide if you want to keep it as Store Credit or Cashout and have the money sent to your Venmo, PayPal or Bank Account.

• We’re using the same payment methods we always have. Venmo, Paypal, and ACH Direct Deposit, as usual! You choose your preferred option here.

• Payment will take the same amount of time as usual. Once the item you sold is delivered to its recipient, we issue your Store Credit to your Geartrade account.  Payment is sent 4 days after delivery for established sellers, 6 days after delivery for new sellers and 15 days after delivery for consignors (after the 14 day return window has passed).

• You can let your Store Credits pile up as much as you want. Saving up for a big-ticket item like a tent or touring setup? Let your Store Credit pile up and apply it to your bigger item!

• Transfer your credit to your bank account at any point. People who sell often on our site might like to get paid in chunks rather than lots of little deposits.

• Sellers with over 10 sales in the last year are setup on AutoPay. If you would like to be paid automatically and have over 10 sales, you have your choice of AutoPay or you can participate in Store Credits and Cashout whenever you choose to do so.
