GT: Fall Gear Roundup
It’s been a busy time here at Geartrade, as we’ve recently launched our easy consignment selling option and gear is comin’ in like hotcakes. We’ve been so busy, in fact, that we didn’t notice summer sailing by, and now fall is in the air.
This shift in the seasons marks an excellent time to check in on your gear needs and have a peek at what’s piled up on our physical and digital shelves! Not only do we currently have oodles of good summer stuff (Swimsuits! Sunglasses! Camp furniture!) listed at deep discounts, but you’ll find lots of fall gear and bargain-basement deals on winter gear. So start thinking ahead, plan for future stoke, and save a bunch of money while you’re at it.
Here are a few fall goodies to shop now:
Gently used and unused bike goods abound on Geartrade right now, with a plethora of shorts, bibs, and jerseys from brands like Yeti, Specialized, Louis Garneau, and Gore Bike Wear. Once you’ve upped your clothing game, have a gander at bike racks from Kuat, Yakima, and Thule. And browse parts and components that could come in handy, like a new saddle, shifter, cassette, tire, or tube.
The trails are tacky. The air, refreshingly cool. This is prime-time bike season. Go get after it.
Fall fleeces: ode to cozy
We at Geartrade get just a little excited when we think of warm fall layers, especially the fuzzy and fleece-y variety. As you probably know, there is a perfect fleece for every occasion, whether it’s a light tech layer for fall trail running, a midweight layer for chilly morning bike rides, or a cushy zip-up you can wear from trail to town. Naturally, we’ve covered all your bases, from street-style to ultra-tech and everything in between.
You can find exceptional tech fleece jackets, vests, and hoodies for both men and women from Ortovox on Geartrade right at this very moment. (Get ‘em while they’re hot!) You can also swoop on a classic plush fleece from Mountain Hardwear, a vintage-inspired pullover fleece from Patagonia, or go full traditional with a full-zip from The North Face.
As these cozy delights are priced to move, you just might end up getting a fleece for every occasion, and we sure wouldn’t blame you.
Shoes to up your climbing game
While you can find all sorts of good climbing stuff on Geartrade, from ropes to belay devices to runners, we have a particularly great stockpile of climbing shoes in supply. They run the full gamut from hyper-technical, aggressive shoes fit for the steeps as well as comfy shoes and slab-happy shoes and everything in between.
Check out our excellent selection from Evolv and Black Diamond, plus plenty to pick from among La Sportiva, Mad Rock, Scarpa, 5.10, Arc’teryx, and more. Many climbing shoes on Geartrade are gently worn, while others are flat-out unworn and just need a home.
Getting psyched for winter
For those who read this far, there’s buried treasure: closeout prices on winter gear, at 50%-90% off retail. Yes. It’s exciting. We’re talkin’ skis and boots, bindings, touring packs, goggles, gloves, helmets, and more. Need crampons? Done. A GoPro? No problem. We even have an entire rainbow of DPS skis, some of which are still in their original wrappers and a few of which come with bindings!
Now’s the time to swoop on deep discounts on previous winters’ goods and get your gear kit rounded out for this winter. Since everything’s so deeply discounted and fall is in the air, these items are selling quick .
Happy shopping, and remember--you can always fund these purchases by selling off your old stuff on Geartrade, either by listing it yourself or taking the E-Z consignment route, in which you simply send the items to us and have us pay you when they sell.
As always, tag and send us pics of your adventures in your UnNew gear. We love seeing it out and about in its new life with you rather than sitting in the back of someone’s closet or warehouse.
