Downhill Kona Bike

Bought this bike last year and then decided I wanted a 29er. Only room for one in my arsenal at the moment so this one has to go.
Gets awesome ratings. Really sturdy bike and smooth ride. Did one trip to Moab with it. Was PERFECT bike for Slickrock and bombing through sand thanks to weight. Everyone else around me SUNK and I rode on through with my fat tires and weight.
Details on this BIKE
This is a 2009 model. It comes loaded with the following parts:
- Fox Float 36 RC2 Fork, 180mm travel
- Fox RP2 rear shock, 180mm travel w/ Magic Link Technology
- SLX hydraulic disc brakes
Strengths: Sturdy and solid while also showing relative nimbleness.
Weaknesses: A bit heavy for the typical trails and the stock components aren't that hot. But I can't complain about either - given how reasonably priced this and how durable and versatile it is, the components can be changed as needed, and you'll just have to get into better shape to peddle this around the hills.
Bottom Line:
Fantastic value/bang-for-the-buck. The old coilers (or coilairs if you add an air-shock) are tremendous bargains. I'm loathe to spend $2-$3k on a bike, so this is a good deal when you look at all of the components. theslight use I have put on it and the fact that it's all ready to jump on and go.
